Old Possum’s Children’s Poetry Competition 2010
International Learners
If you live outside the United Kingdom and you are studying English as a second or foreign language, then you can still enter this competition in the International Learners category which has been created in partnership with the British Council.
Your poem will be judged in the ‘International Learners’ category and book prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place entrants in 2 age groups: 7-8 year-olds and 9-11 year-olds. Please see the British Council’s LearnEnglish Kids website for more details and a teachers’ guide.
The winning poems will be published on the CPB website, the LearnEnglish Kids website and in a booklet, copies of which will be sent to all the winners.
